The treasurer receives all the money belonging to the county and all money which is directed to her by the law. The treasurer must prepare and file the annual inventory statement of the county personal property in her possession. The treasurer shall also invest bond money for cities and villages. Upon her discretion, the treasurer may appoint a deputy, who cannot be the county clerk, sheriff, register of deeds or surveyor. Open Mon-Fri 8:30 to 4:30.
Duties:
- To collect all revenues for the County
- To bill and collect all real estate and personal taxes in the County
- Register all motor vehicles and boats with tax situs in the County
- To issue driver licenses, C.D.L.’s, learner permits, I.D. cards, school permits, provisional operator permits, etc
- To disburse collections to the proper political subdivisions
- Title all motor vehicles and boats with situs in the county
- Boat Registration
- Snowmobile Registration
