INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Informal bids will be received in the office of the Pierce County Clerk, 111 West Court Street, Room 1, Pierce, NE (402) 329-4225, until 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 and considered at that time by the Pierce County Board of Commissioners for the demolishing and remodeling of the Pierce County Treasurer’s Office.  Specifications and design may be obtained from the Pierce County Clerk’s office at (402) 329 – 4225 or Pierce County Treasurer’s Office at (402) 329-6335.

The Pierce County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities.

Notice is hereby given that the Pierce County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, April 18, 2022 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Pierce County Courthouse Multipurpose Room, 111 W. Court Street, Pierce, Nebraska.  The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comments concerning the Conditional Use Permit application of Ashton Wragge to build a house on less than 40 acres on Wragge Lotsplit on property described as Part of the Northwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ Section 36, Township 27, Range 2 West of the 6th P.M., Pierce County, Nebraska. Property is located at the intersection of 551 Ave & 859 Rd, four miles north of the City of Pierce; Pierce County, Nebraska.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Pierce County Visitors Bureau will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Pierce County Courthouse, Multipurpose Room, 111 W. Court Street, Pierce, NE, which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of Shannon Wragge, Pierce County Clerk.

NOTICE TO LANDOWNERS AND FARMERS

Pierce County Road Department will be mowing all county roads, excluding minimum maintenance roads, in June and again in September 2022 (SS 39–1811).  If there is planting within the county right-of-way (33’ from center of road) it will be mowed (SS 29-1702 and 39-1812). 

It is also the responsibility of the landowner or farmer to see that no irrigation water infringes on county right-of-way.  Violators will be prosecuted.
